Take your training outside with the BLK BOX Outdoor Pull Up Bar. Designed specifically for training outside, the pull up bar is galvanised creating a highly durable and long-lasting protective layer, keeping your equipment free from corrosion and rust.
Ideal for strength training the upper body, the outdoor pull up bar features a 1080mm long straight bar, offering various options of grip positions so you can choose the grip that is most comfortable for you.
The BLK BOX Outdoor Pull Up Bar is manufactured on-site in our Belfast HQ from the same steel as our rigs and racks and is a highly compact, single unit that is optimised for mounting to a concrete wall. Once anchored securely using the M10 hardware provided, the BLK BOX Outdoor Pull Up Bar has 940mm clearance from the wall, meaning there is enough space to perform bar muscle ups or kipping pull ups without hitting your feet on the wall. We would advise consulting an expert before mounting to the wall. If you do not intend to mount your pull up bar outdoors, check out the BLK BOX Wall Mounted Pull Up Bar here.
Galvanising is a process that involves dipping the steel into molten zinc, weatherproofing your equipment and making it the ideal coating for outdoor use. Galvanised products have been shown to avoid corrosion for 15 to 25 years, meaning there is no need to worry about leaving it out in the rain.
Further benefits of galvanised products can be found in hotter climates. Powder coating can harden in hotter climates due to the steel sweating. Galvanising will provide a good tacky grip for pull ups.
Please note, we cannot guarantee the stand will not oxidise and rust in some areas. Due to the process of dipping, products sometimes are returned with sharps, which are deburred with a file at BLK BOX HQ. There is a balance with this process, to deburr the sharp edges while not removing too much of the protective zinc costing. If you feel the areas is still too rough, you can smooth it off simply by using a hand file. If you do notice any rust, you can top up your coating with a galvanised spray, we recommend CRC 400ml Grey Spray Paint.
Galvanising offers a number of benefits for outdoor use but has limitations. It is a highly functional process that provides a protective layer, however it is not a highly decorative finish such as chrome, and will dull over time.
